Sara Gilbert and Rob Huebel have reportedly joined the cast of an upcoming HBO show set to chronicle the 2019 college admissions scandal.

The controversy which rocked the world of higher education is set to be the focus of the pilot episode of the anthology series Verbatim, according to Deadline.

The cast also includes Leland Orser, Lyriq Bent, J.R. Cacia, Tate Donovan, Kevin Dunn, and Chris Messina, and so far the roles have not yet been revealed.

Verbatim is based on the New York Times digital series of the same name, which follows real-life events with dialogue used word for word  from primary sources.

The pilot episode of Verbatim will focus on the college admissions controversy.

Though there is no official word on who is playing who, Chris is thought to be playing Rick Singer, the mastermind who orchestrated the scam.

Sara will possibly be taking on the role of the lead FBI investigator in the case, Laura Smith. Her part will also serve as narrator.

Meanwhile, Leland, Tate, and Kevin are thought to be playing the affluent parents who were charged in the cases: Bill McGlashan, Bruce Isackson, and John Wilson, respectively.

Chris’ role will reportedly be linking the different cases appearing in the show, whereas the remainder of the cast will only be appearing as guest stars for the very first episode.

It has already been two years since the world was rocked by the news that affluent parents had been allegedly bribing their children’s way into some of the most elite colleges in the country.

Among the most high-profile families whom were implicated in the scandal were those of showbiz stars Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin.

Felicity served 11 days in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit mail fraud, whereas Lori was recently released from prison after pleading guilty to to conspiracy charges.

Her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, who also pleaded guilty, remains behind bars.
