‘We’ve realised how annoying it is to see celebrities crying about isolation from their mansions’: Samantha Armytage reveals the important life lessons she learned during lockdown

She took six weeks off work due to a ‘respiratory infection’ at the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

So Sunrise co-host Samantha Armytage had a lot of extra time to ponder the big questions in life while recuperating at her $2.2million estate in Bowral, NSW.

In a column for Stellar Magazine, the 43-year-old revealed the important life lessons she’s learned during lockdown.

‘We’ve realised how annoying it is to see celebrities crying about isolation from their mansions/massage rooms/private gyms,’ she wrote.

The TV presenter was astounded at the selfishness of others when she realised we ‘weren’t all in this together’.

‘There are members of the population who think it’s OK to spit on police officers, who will hoard products, and that there are countries who are so, so, so much worse off than us,’ she added.

Calling out smugness! Samantha also called out some of her 'smug friends', saying they bragged a lot less about having the perfect husband when they were forced 'to spend 24/7' with them

Earlier this month she shared that the couple enjoyed a cosy date night in.

In photos shared to her Instagram Stories Samantha revealed that she had been treated to a gourmet food and wine delivery in the Southern Highlands.
