Sam Armytage asks Ricki-Lee Coulter to sing at her upcoming wedding

Sunrise host Samantha Armytage announced her engagement to fiancé Richard Lavender last week. 

And it appears that the couple are already planning the entertainment for their wedding day.

Singer Ricki-Lee Coulter appeared on Friday’s edition of Sunrise and there was a rather awkward moment when the 43-year-old presenter jokingly asked the Australian Idol star to perform at her nuptials.

Ricki-Lee, 34, was promoting her latest single, Last Night, and Sam brought up the fact that both their partners are called Richard. 

The songstress began dating Richard Harrison, who also happens to be her manager, in 2009 and the couple married in France in 2015. 

‘Tell me about your Rich! You guys are getting married,’ Ricki-Lee said. 

‘We’re looking for a wedding singer, do you know anyone?’ Sam cheekily asked. 

Ricki-Lee laughed before saying: ‘I might know someone, she has a great new love song out.’

Sam’s request comes after she announced her engagement to Richard in an Instagram post on Sunday. 

The media personality uploaded two photos of herself posing in the arms of her fiancé, with a diamond ring on her wedding finger. 

‘What a year…’ she wrote in the caption.

The couple, who reportedly began dating in April 2019, confirmed their romance in an interview with WHO magazine in November.
