‘I finally had to do my roots’: Salma Hayek, 53, reveals grey hairs before showing off her luscious new dye job
Salma Hayek has revealed her grey roots to her 15 million social media followers.
The 53-year-old took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a side-by-side shot of her unkempt roots compared to her hair after dyeing it.
‘In anticipation for reshoots, I finally had to do my roots,’ she captioned the photo.

A before photo saw the beauty flaunt her age-defying makeup free complexion with her hair tied back.
She had a few grey pieces of baby hair around her temples and a few strands throughout her dark tresses.

She added some foundation, blushed cheeks and a subtle smokey eye to complete the fresh new look.
The Mexican-American actress’ post comes after she recently revealed that her favorite days were when she was fresh faced and not wearing any makeup.
She put her age-defying looks forward while posing in front of a plant outside while posing makeup free on Sunday.
Salma’s selfie saw her style her brunette tresses out into loose waves that framed her olive skin complexion.

Her post comes after she recently revealed her past struggles with self-worth and self-love.
‘My favorite days are the days that you’re not wearing makeup, and you’re not looking in the mirror because you’re not thinking about how you look,’ she told People last month.
‘You’re just present, and you’re just doing your thing. And this is the best thing about not wearing makeup, when you’re not thinking, “How do I look without makeup? Oh, I forgot to put makeup”.’
She continued: ‘When you’re just living life, and this is not your priority.’
Salma admitted that she dealt with physical insecurities when she was younger, which she’s learned from.

The Like a Boss star also revealed how her looks pigeonholed her as an actress earlier in her career.
She told Total Film: ‘Unfortunately, I never had a lot of chances to do parts where I could use a lot of the things I learned. I’ve had directors say to me, “Dumber and faster. Sound dumber and speak faster!”‘
Hayek has recently been isolating at home in London with husband François-Henri Pinault, 57, and daughter Valentina Paloma, 12.
