Ryan Reynolds joked second child with Blake Lively would be his ‘last’ in unsent Deadpool fan letter

He welcomed his third child with wife Blake Lively in 2019.

But Ryan Reynolds just rediscovered an old letter to a fan that he jokingly said he forgot to send in which he claimed his second child would be his last.

The 44-year-old actor shared the hilarious letter on his Instagram account on Saturday, along with the original fan letter he was replying to.

Having a laugh: Ryan Reynolds, 44, shared a joking letter Saturday on Instagram that he claimed he’d forgotten to send back to a fan in 2016 in which he claimed he meant to stop after his second child; seen in 2019 with wife Blake Lively

Ryan posted the correspondence a day after celebrating the five-year anniversary of his hit superhero film Deadpool.

‘Five years later, I’m still in awe of Deadpool fans,’ he captioned the post. ‘Hunter wrote me this letter after Deadpool came out and somehow my response never got mailed. Holds up. Mostly.’

In the original note, a fan named Hunter commended Ryan on his ‘”laugh my a**” off movie’ Deadpool.

He expressed hopes for a sequel that wasn’t a ‘crappy second movie, like most sequels are.’

He concluded by asking how to be ‘more bada**’ like Ryan and explained he was writing to him for an English assignment in which he had to write a letter to someone he admired.

Joking around: Ryan began his letter, which looked suspiciously crisp, on an earnest-enough note, but it was soon obvious that he had written it recently full of monumentally bad predictions, including that the father of three would stop having kids after number two

Ryan wrote that he appreciated how well-received Deadpool had been.

Disney would later go on to merge with Fox, and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed the superhero was officially part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in January.

Initially, fans were worried that Disney, which owns Marvel Studios, would balk at releasing an R-rated superhero film, but the company seems to be moving ahead and even integrating Deadpool with their other superhero properties.

Ryan also joked about the ongoing pandemic by throwing in the line, ‘It’s such a privilege to don a mask!’

The actor and Aviation Gin pitchman continued the parody letter by suggesting being a ‘bada**’ by committing to one thing, like acting, and ‘not messing around with random business ventures like other celebs.’

His only small investments were in ‘”Fyre” Festival’ and the scam blood-testing company Theranos.

He also joked that he was like current Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and the New England Patriots: ‘together forever.’

In his final paragraph, the gin spokesman hilarious added that beer was ‘the only alcohol for me.’

He said Deadpool 3, which has no release date, would be out in 2020, and that he couldn’t wait to ‘spend some time with fans up close and personal.’

‘Handshakes and hugs are always better than letters or even dabbing. LOL. Until then, let’s stay connected on Vine!’ he joked of the defunct social media platform.

He closed his letter with the now out-of-style saying: ‘Stay on fleek!’
