Ryan Phillipe gets his sweat on as he goes for a run in Santa Monica showing off his tattooed arms

Ryan Phillipe, 45, shows off his tattooed muscular arms on a run in Santa Monica

He was one of the hottest stars of the early Noughties.

And a still youthful looking Ryan Phillipe was spotted Tuesday working on his youthful physique in the Santa Monica area of Los Angeles, California, jogging out in the SoCal sunshine.

The Cruel Intentions star, 45, was previously married to his costar from that film, Reese Witherspoon, and shares two children with her.

On Tuesday, Ryan looked sprightly and athletic as he ran along, wearing grey shorts and a sleeveless muscle shirt that showcased his muscled tattooed arms.

Phillippe was clearly making the most of his workout break from home isolation, as there was a sheen of sweat on his shirt and scruffy face.

The Gosford Park star had earbuds in his ears, and sported reflective pink sunglasses.

Ryan and Reese were married from 1999 until 2008, and share daughter Ava Elizabeth, 20, and son Deacon Reese, 16.

He is also dad to younger daughter Kai Knapp, eight years old, who he shares with actress Alexis Knapp.

After breaking onto the scene in the late ’90s with films like Cruel Intentions in 1999 and 54 the year prior, Phillipe appeared in several highly acclaimed projects, like Gosford Park in 2001 and 2004’s Best Picture Oscar winner Crash.

Since then, his resume has become somewhat spottier, with less frequent film appearances, or roles that are second or third-billing (as was the case in 2011’s Lincoln Lawyer, which starred Matthew McConaughey and Marisa Tomei).

Ryan also enjoyed recurring roles on multiple TV series, such as Damages or Secrets And Lies.

Up next, Phillipe has no less than five projects that are completed, in post production, or announced, including supernatural drama Alive, and Lady Of The Manor, a comedic ghost story.
