Russell Crowe’s ex-wife Danielle Spencer exposes her Instagram imposter 

She’s the glamorous ex-wife of Australian actor Russell Crowe, who’s famous in her own right.

And it seems Danielle Spencer’s enviable life in the public eye has caught the attention of an impostor, who has recently been targeting the singer’s family and fans.

In a bid to alert fans and loved ones, the 50-year-old mother-of-two shared a photo of the wannabe account last Monday and announced: ‘Fake account alert’.

‘There is a fake account on Instagram that is sending weird private messages to people,’ Danielle wrote underneath the post.

The Sydney-born actress, who was married to Russell between 2003 and 2018, urged her followers: ‘Please do not engage with this account, it’s not me or anyone in my team.’

‘You’ll never receive messages from me outside of my official page, ever!’ 

Danielle and Russell first met on the set of the 1989 Australian movie The Crossing.

The former couple married in 2003 and share two sons together: Charles, 16, and Tennyson, 13. 

Since 2016, Danielle has been in a relationship with crime author Adam Long.

After the pair began dating, a source previously told Daily Mail Australia that Adam was Danielle’s ‘typical arty type she goes for’.

‘He’s typically her, very arty, and she loves that type,’ revealed the friend at the time.

‘She’s really happy, it’s still quite early days, but she’s content. And Russell is apparently pretty cool with it. He’s accepted they’re not going to get back together.’
