Rita Ora admits she is ‘obsessed’ with Joey Essex following that 24 hour party session and says she finds being alone ‘liberating’ after past break-up
She was pictured leaving her home with Joey Essex following a 24 hour party session last week, with a host of celebrity friends.
And Rita Ora, 29, has admitted she is ‘obsessed’ with the former TOWIE star and loves the way he ‘acts and talks.’
While both Rita and Joey have clarified they are nothing more than friends, she told Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden about him on Heart FM on Friday.

She said: ‘I love TV, I also love reality TV. People who know me, know this about me. No matter where I am in the world , the things that I’ve seen the people that I’ve met, reality TV is like the closest thing to my heart.
‘I think I get more star-struck with reality TV stars than with people I’ve met, honest to god…
‘I was obsessed with Joey and how he acts and talks and everything, that I was kind of like “I need to hang out with this guy” and literally that was it, that was the bottom line and I’m a friendly person.’

Rita said that despite the rumours about herself and Joey, she is completely single – her new record is actually called, How To Be Lonely.
Giggling, Rita said: ‘It’s always complicated, that part of my life.’
Addressing the rumours about Joey, she continued: ‘It’s insane, why can’t people be friends. Honestly it’s annoying.’

Rita also appeared on the Capital Breakfast Show with Roman Kemp and there she described how she finds being alone ‘liberating’ after her breakup.
She doesn’t refer to which breakup this was, but her most notable ones include Andrew Watt and Andrew Garfield.
She told Roman: ‘Basically what I love about this song, was that I heard it and it was like midway through I guess, you know, breaking up and I kind just was like, you know what “gosh I don’t know why we always put this thing on ourselves of like, oh no we can’t be by ourselves and it’s so hard to be alone”’
‘And all that stuff and I just thought you know what, I thought sometimes it’s really cool and really liberating and I’ve been going through a phase where I’ve been really good at being by myself and like having baths on a Saturday and getting a massage and being OK and being content.
‘And don’t think it’s something to shy away from, and I actually think it’s a beautiful thing because it makes you a better person and I don’t feel like people talk about it enough.
‘So when I heard it, I thought “wow Lewis, you really touched a nerve”, especially for me, so I hope when people listen to it, it touches them too.’
