Country singer Rhett Akins, 50, becomes father of three as wife delivers baby boy Brody… weeks after welcoming another grandchild

Country singer Rhett Akins, 50, became a father of three the Friday before last when his wife Sonya delivered a baby boy called Brody.
‘Friday the 13th is a pretty magical day. Our little angel arrived at 7:49 p.m. weighing 7.2lbs and 19 inches,’ wrote Sonya on Instagram.
‘He is perfect in every way!!!! Welcome Brody James Akins,’ she gushed alongside an Instagram album of her baby boy.

Both she and her husband could be seen cradling the newborn in the heartwarming social media snapshots.
Alongside another album she wrote: ‘My heart is about to explode!! I’m so in love with our sweet baby boy!!’
She added: ‘Thank you lord for this precious gift that you have given our family!!’ concluding with three blue heart emoji.

Sonya and Rhett married at his family farm in the Nashville area, their wedding photographer Julie Paisley wrote on her blog.
She announced her pregnancy on Instagram this past September with a reference to Thomas’ song Look What God Gave Her.

They welcomed their little pride and joy just weeks after Rhett became a grandfather again by way of Thomas and his wife Lauren.
Lauren gave birth to the couple’s daughter Lennon Love Akins on February 10, Thomas announced on Instagram the next day.
The couple, who got married in 2012, are the proud parents of two more daughters – Willa Gray, four, and Ada James, two.
