Former Miss Universe Australia Renae Ayris has spoken candidly about her mental health as she self-isolates during the coronavirus pandemic with her husband, fitness trainer Andrew Papadopoulos.

The 29-year-old admitted she is struggling with anxiety and mood swings while staying at home in Sydney. 

Sharing her feelings with her Instagram followers on Thursday, she wrote: ‘I have always felt I can’t express how I’m feeling as I know there is always someone out there worse off than me.’

‘But gosh, this is a bloody s**t situation and my anxiety is through the roof.’

She explained that she has days where she is ‘super productive’, but has others where she doesn’t want to get out of bed.

‘I think “what’s the point” or I was up at 3am with my heart racing a million miles an hour,’ she added.

Renae described the impact COVID-19 is having on everyone ‘seriously heartbreaking.’ 

She also thanked her husband for sticking by her during mood swings and ‘sugar highs’.

The blonde beauty told her followers it was OK for them to be in touch with their emotions and to talk to their friends for support during this difficult time.

She ended her post by encouraging fans to do their part by staying at home: ‘I’m sure we would all like to see our friends and family sooner rather than later.’

The stunner also revealed their plans to start a family, and told The Daily Telegraph: ‘I want two because I grew up with just a sister. I feel like everyone wants what they grew up with in a way.’
