Model Rachael Finch splurged on a $12,000 custom-built infrared sauna in September last year.

And on Wednesday, the 31-year-old said she still considers it to be one of the ‘best investments’ she’s ever made for her health.

Sharing a bikini-clad picture of herself in the sauna, the mother-of-two listed the benefits of her luxury purchase for her 292,000 followers.

Rachael, who is also the founder of health and fitness program Body by Finch, explained she has regular 20-minute sessions in the sauna to ‘eliminate heavy metals and harmful toxins’ from her body.

Infrared saunas are usually used by athletes to speed recovery time and Rachael said she immediately notices a difference following a workout.

‘I sleep better. I feel better (and) I’m a better wife,’ she said.

Last month, the former beauty pageant titleholder encouraged her followers to ‘nurture and nourish’ themselves while in isolation.

Sitting in her sauna, a sweaty-looking Rachael said to the camera: ‘Angels, just a reminder to make sure you fill up your cup.’

‘Super challenging times at the moment, being at home constantly in a confined space with the kids, particularly if yours are different ages and require different levels of attention and activity.’

‘Use this time to think deeply about how you’re nurturing your relationships and taking care of yourself,’ she added.

‘So, find space, some time throughout your day to nurture yourself, nourish yourself, and fill your cup.’

Rachael is married to her former Dancing With The Stars partner, Michael Miziner, and they have two children – Violet, six, and Dominic, three.

‘Michael and I like to break up the time looking after the kids so that we’re both getting some personal space and re-energising,’ she captioned one of the videos.
