Rachael Finch is roasted for misspelling the word ‘voilà’ as ‘vah-lah’

It’s not just Elyse Knowles! Now Rachael Finch is roasted on social media for misspelling the word ‘voilà’

The Block’s Elyse Knowles went viral last month after social media users discovered she’d once misspelled the French word ‘voilà’ as ‘wallah’.

But she’s not only Instagram influencer to find the word confusing, as model Rachael Finch was caught making a similar mistake back in June.

The former Miss Universe Australia, 32, bungled the spelling in an Instagram Story post about her family burger recipe.

‘Val-lah!’ Rachael Finch was roasted on social media for her misspelling of ‘voilà’. She shared Instagram Story posts of the ingredients she was putting in her burger, back in June and Instagram Account Celeb Spellcheck spotted the mistake

She shared a photo of a bowl containing what appeared to be diced eggs, and wrote: ‘Vah-lah. Now I’m going to use this in a burger stack!’

According to Merriam-Webster, the word voilà is ‘used to call attention, to express satisfaction or approval, or to suggest an appearance as if by magic’.

After Instagram account Celeb Spellcheck picked up on the blunder, many fans said that models and influencers just can’t seem to spell ‘voilà’.

Whoops: Her image showed a bowl with what appeared diced eggs, which she captioned: 'Vah-lah. Now I'm going to use this in a burger stack!' It appears that instead of 'vah-lah', the former beauty queen meant to use the popular French term, 'voilà'

Oh dear: Followers of Celeb Spellcheck couldn't help but roast for the former Miss Universe for her blunder, including one who said: 'Voilà is an influencers Achilles heel'

‘Voilà is an influencers Achilles heel,’ one follower wrote.

‘Why is it that influencers can never spell voila? I’ve seen so many variations of the spelling I’m starting to think I’M spelling it wrong,’ another commented.

Rachael’s ‘val-lah’ gaffe comes after Elyse’s misspelling of the French word on Instagram went viral last year.

Remember this? In December, model Elyse Knowles made a very similar mistake. She posed for a mirror selfie on her bed dressed in black underwear and a white shirt, which she captioned: 'Wallah'

In August, Celeb Spellcheck shared an Instagram post by Elyse in which she misspelled the word ‘voilà’ as ‘wallah’.

The mistake later went viral in December when American social media sensation Josh Ostrovsky, a.k.a. The Fat Jewish, shared it with his 10.6 million followers.

Mr Ostrovsky shared a screenshot of Elyse’s typo, and wrote: ‘Spending an unhealthy amount of time thinking about how this influencer spelled “Voilà”.’

Since then, scores of Instagram users have been trolling the pregnant model by commenting ‘wallah’ on her posts.

Giggle: The blunder caught the attention of Twitter users, with one sharing a screenshot of the post, and captioning it: 'Thinking about this influencer who can't spell voila'
