Queen Rania has shared a heartwarming photo of the Jordanian Royal family to celebrate the end of 2021.

The 51-year-old wife of Jordan’s King Abdullah II, shared the image to her 6.5million Instagram followers.

It shows the mother-of-four looking elegant in a white dress as she proudly poses with her family – husband, King Abdullah II, and children, Crown Prince Hussein, 27, Prince Hashem, 16, Princess Iman, 25, and Princess Salma, 21.

Pictured in the centre with her husband, King Abdullah II, she stands with her four children, from left to right: Princess Iman, 25, Prince Hashem, 16, Princess Salma, 21, and  Prince Al Hussein, 27

She captioned the photo: ‘May the threads of happiness, hope and good health weave together your New Year.’

The tapestry-themed caption refers to a video that Queen Rania also shared on her social media profile, which showed the process behind the making of her festive greeting cards this year.

The footage shows the Queen of Jordan working with artisans from across the middle-eastern nation to work embroidery into the cards.

She described the clip to her following: ‘Our greeting cards this year carry different embroidery patterns from our traditional thobes.

‘Individually, each presents a part of our diverse cultural heritage, but combined they create the rich and resilient tapestry that is Jordan

‘Over the past few months, we worked with a group of talented artisans from around Jordan who channeled their passion and patriotism into each piece of embroidery – grateful to each one of you!’

Jordanian thobes are embroidered traditional garments, an ankle length dress with long sleeves worn by both men and women.

The glamorous mother-of-four wore a long white dress with bell-sleeves and a blue and white striped waistband.

She accessorised the flowing number with a brown striped belt and simple eye make-up and flushed cheeks.
