Purple Wiggle Lachlan Gillespie and fiancé Dana Stephensen wear paper crowns in Christmas selfie

He welcomed his first children, twin daughters Lulu and Lottie, with his fiancé Dana Stephensen in November. 

And purple Wiggle Lachlan Gillespie, 35, had plenty to smile about as he posed for a selfie with his 34-year-old ladylove on Boxing Day. 

The children’s entertainer proudly uploaded a photo of the couple cuddling up together inside their lounge room, wearing matching paper crowns. 

Ballerina Dana donned a crown in Lachlan’s trademark purple hue, while her future husband’s wore a crown in dark blue. 

The image was simply captioned with a purple and blue heart emoji as well as two Christmas tree emojis. 

Dana, who also has a son named Jasper, four, reposted the image to her own Instagram account, adding a caption that read: ‘just the two of us for a little moment [love heart emoji].      

Back in September, fans were left in complete shock when The Wiggles performer unveiled the new arrivals – with the pair never revealing the pregnancy.

In an Instagram post, Lachlan shared a photo of his newborn daughters – Lulu and Lottie – resting with their mother Dana, as he looked on lovingly. 

He wrote in the caption: ‘Oh Lulu and Lottie, your mummy and daddy love you with all we have – you are both so beautiful – and I would love to sing to you both forever’.

Neither Lachlan nor Dana gave any hint that they were expecting, and their social media accounts do not show many recent photos.

Fans were stunned, with many voicing their complete shock at the news.

The pair had announced their engagement months earlier, revealing that Dana had asked Lachlan to marry her.  

Their engagement oddly enough happened on what would have been his fourth wedding anniversary to Wiggles co-star Emma Watkins. 

Lachlan married Emma in 2016, but they split up in 2018. They continue to be on good terms, despite their very public divorce.

Emma is currently dating The Wiggles’ musician Oliver Brian, 32.
