Pregnant Chloe Goodman engaged to footballer Grant Hall

Chloe Goodman has revealed she is engaged to her footballer partner Grant Hall.

The pregnant CBB beauty, 26, was delighted when the Queens Park Rangers player got down on one knee during their baby gender reveal party last month.

The pair confessed their happy relationship has lifted them both from the depths of depression, with Grant going as far as to say Chloe ‘saved his life’.

Chloe told The Sun: ‘We met at a really bad time in our lives; I had just broken up with my previous fiance and also lost a child. I moved back to my Brighton home town and had to pack up and close my clinic and start again.

‘He had just gone through a break up as well and was dealing with a terrible time in terms of football – he didn’t know if he was going to play again.’

Grant, 28, admits being diagnoses with chronic tendonitis in his knee in April 2017, forced him to face up to the fact he might never play again.

He explained: ‘I was going out five, six weeks in a row, using it as a coping mechanism to distract myself from my injury, just drinking and trying to forget about football because I didn’t want to be around it, and that’s when I met Chlo.’

The QPR defender’s career woes resulted in him feeling low for almost two years, keeping the worst of it a secret from Chloe.

The pair soon became inseparable and ‘got through things’ because they had something else to focus on.

In November, Chloe announced her pregnancy, saying she has ‘wanted to be a mum for years’.

In September, Chloe revealed she had accelerated her baby plans after suffering a cancer scare following a routine smear test last year, and she is now thrilled ‘everything has fallen into place’.

Revealing the happy news in an interview with this week’s Closer magazine, she said: ‘I’ve wanted to be a mum for years. I’m from a family of five girls and I’ve always had maternal instincts…

‘When I met Grant, we agreed early on that we wanted to become parents, so it feels like everything has fallen into place’.

Chloe revealed to the publication her boobs are now ‘ginormous’ and said her appetite has soared since finding out she was expecting.

Earlier this year, Chloe opened up to MailOnline about going through a cancer scare following a routine smear test, leaving her thinking about having children with Grant earlier than planned.

She had her first cervical screening when she turned 25 last year, but soon realised something was wrong when doctors called her up the next day.

Chloe admitted that her anxiety went from ‘zero to 100’ after thinking her smear test would come back normal and suddenly realised it was a ‘little more serious’.

Taking about the experience, she said: ‘I’m a super strong person, I’ve dealt with a miscarriage, I gave birth to a dead baby, which was horrendous.

‘I’ve dealt with getting engaged and three months later breaking up, I’ve dealt with a huge heap of s**t. At that moment when I passed out, I just knew I needed to get rid of whatever was bad, I could feel it.

At the time, Chloe brought forward her baby plans and praised her sportsman boyfriend for being so supportive during her health scare.

She told MailOnline: 'It's a difficult one, Grant's contract at QPR finishes in the summer next year, so do I either get pregnant in the summer this year and then he's there for the birth?' (pictured in November last year)

‘Or we try next year, but he may have moved clubs or football teams – then I’m pregnant without him.

‘Grant was so patient and good. He said, “If we need to have a baby now, I will, I will give you a baby”!’

Chloe has long-tried to forge a career in TV, after a stint on EOTB’s inaugural series in 2014, before returning in 2016 fifth season, while also appearing in CBB in 2015.

Her reality appearances have always been steeped in controversy, starting with her locking lips with Ashley Cain in the inaugural series of Ex On The Beach. She was ejected from the fifth season of the show for her aggressive behaviour.

She also appeared on Celebrity Big Brother and hit the headlines following a devastating incident, in which she was groped by fellow housemate Jeremy Jackson – after which she revealed she felt unsafe living in the house.

In the infamous scenes from the series, Chloe was seen running out of the bathroom in tears after heading in to comfort the worse-for-wear Baywatch star. She later revealed he had pulled back her robe to indecently expose her.

Reflecting on the incident, the Ex On The Beach star explained on This Morning: ‘It affected me because I was really comfortable, you’re in a show that you’ve got security, you’ve got producers, you know you think nothing can touch me in here.’

She continued: ‘Then to feel so secure and safe, then to go… I felt like my kindness was seen as weakness a little bit with Jeremy.’

Chloe was joined by Michelle Visage and Cami Li in comforting the star, who was concerned he’d be sick after mixing rum and vodka.
