Poppy Delevingne puts on a leggy display in a billowing cream dress for stunning campaign

Poppy Delevingne looked ethereal as she posed for a new campaign for The Whiteley’s redevelopment, formerly London’s first department store.

The model, 36, put on a leggy display in a billowing cream dress from Maria Lucia Hohan’s SS 2015 collection as she rocked back and forth on a swing within one of the exclusive residential units.

Sporting a coordinating pair of pumps, she gazed out of the window in one stunning image, shot by internationally acclaimed photographer Mark Seliger.

In further photos, Poppy wears Zac Posen FW 2014 as well as Jason Wu Resort collection 2023 and SS 2002 YSL designed by Tom Ford.

Formerly London’s first department store, the project is set to become one of the capital’s most exclusive residential developments, complete with the UK’s first Six Senses hotel.

Wearing a stunning SS 2002 YSL dress from the Tom Ford era, among other high-fashion outfits, Poppy celebrates the landmark west London building with a dreamlike photoshoot, transforming its grand architecture and scale into a fantastical and playful backdrop.

The campaign has been created by US photographer Mark, known for his work with Rolling Stone magazine and his collaborations with Dom Perignon, Ralph Lauren and KITH, as well as capturing iconic images of Nirvana, Jerry Seinfield, and Barack Obama, to name a few.

Collaborating with creative agency Pollitt and Partners and set designer Tom Thurnauer, the shoot centred around the theme of ‘life enhancing’.

It drew inspiration from The Whiteley’s epic scale and history as a location where unsuspected surprises await, from its origins as London’s first department store through to its reinvention today.

Conveying its vast internal spaces, the shoot portrays a series of eccentric and eclectic scenarios, presenting a location where unconventional experiences await behind the building’s grand and listed facade.

A location where tradition meets the best of contemporary living, the fantastical sets draw parallels with Seliger’s famed Oscar shoots each year for Vanity Fair, also created with Tom Thurnauer, combining glamour and history with storytelling and endless possibilities.

Poppy said, ‘The Whiteley was where I spent most of my teenage years bowling, ice skating, and generally misbehaving.

It was a huge part of my childhood, and now it’s this bright, brilliant and beautiful new establishment, and I can’t wait to get to know it in a whole new way.

Working with Mark has been an absolute dream come true. I have known his work all of my life, and to be able to say that I’ve worked with him, it’s truly a pinch me moment. Something I’ll always cherish.’

Occupying over 1.1 million sq ft and providing 139 high specification residences, 20 new shops, cafes and restaurants, a cinema, and state-of-the-art gym, The Whiteley will also feature London’s first and flagship Six Senses hotel and spa, offering 110 rooms, 14 Six Senses residences and a members’ social and wellness club.

The grand redevelopment of The Whiteley brings together new, modern architecture with retained and restored Grade II-listed features, including the building’s entire frontage and iconic dome.

Originally named William Whiteley Limited, and later Whiteleys, this landmark building housed London’s first luxury department store which opened its doors in 1911.

The Whiteley is a joint venture development between MARK and C C Land, with Finchatton acting as development manager.
