Phillip Schofield’s wife Stephanie celebrated her 56th birthday in lockdown with her husband and their two daughters on Friday.

This TV host, 57, who came out as gay after 27 years of marriage last month, was joined by his daughters Molly, 27, and Ruby, 24, in marking the big day as his two girls shared sweet snaps of their birthday festivities.

Molly and Ruby both shared images of Stephanie sitting in their stunning home with balloons spelling ‘Happy Birthday’ as well as four champagne flutes with what appeared to be Buck’s fizz inside.

Despite the country being in lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic, the family made the most of the day with balloons, flowers and drinks.

While Ruby wrote: ‘Happy birthday mumma’, her sister echoed the sentiment as she penned: ‘Happy birthday to the best mummy ever.’

Phillip is still appearing on This Morning alongside Holly Willoughby as they are being deemed ‘key workers’, yet the rest of the family are in lockdown.

Last month, the close family jetted on a holiday to Paris just weeks after Phillip came out as gay. They enjoyed the sights of the City Of Love, including a trip to drink champagne on top of the Eiffel Tower and to the swanky Le Cinq restaurant.

Earlier in February, the TV host took to Instagram and appeared on This Morning to confirm he was gay, in news that shocked the nation, as he suffered ‘inner conflict’ and is now ready to ‘celebrate and be proud’ of his sexuality.

Phillip spoke about his battles with keeping his secret and the relief of coming out. Phil met Stephanie when she was a BBC production Assistant and he was working for the BBC Children’s television.

He revealed he suffered ‘inner conflict’ and is now ready to ‘celebrate and be proud’ of his sexuality, yet insists he is not thinking about a new relationship.

Speaking about telling his daughters, he said: ‘It wasn’t easy [telling my daughters]. But they are so amazing in their love and support. They jumped up and gave me a hug, a big hug, a long hug…

‘They hugged Steph and said, ‘It’s OK, this is fine.’ We will always be a family…

‘We’ll always be that. My mum has been on the phone all morning, ‘Hope you’re OK.’ I told her and she said, ‘OK, I don’t care.’ And that’s the same with everyone.’
