Paul Hogan RETURNS to screens in hilarious new film The Very Excellent Mister Dundee alongside Olivia Newton-John and John Cleese
Crocodile Dundee star Paul Hogan will return to the big screen, this time playing himself in The Very Excellent Mister Dundee.
A trailer released on Wednesday, shows the 80-year-old playing a semi-fictional version of himself, 19 years since he played the iconic role of Mick Dundee.
The movie follows Paul, who lives a quiet life out of the spotlight, reluctantly accepting his knighthood for his services to comedy.

In the six weeks leading up to receiving the honour Paul has to stay out of trouble – which is when the hilarity ensues.
Among the famous starring alongside him include Chevy Chase, John Cleese and Olivia Newton-John, who play themselves.
Local stars including Shane Jacobson, Julia Morris and Kerry Armstrong will also star in the movie.

The last time he starred as Mick Dundee was in the 2001 film Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles.
He first played the legendary Australian outback expert in Crocodile Dundee 1986, which was then followed by the follow up in 1988.
Paul’s new movie comes after a Tourism Australia’s hilarious faux movie trailer aired during the US Super Bowl back in 2018.

The big budget advert, which cost $36 million, took the form of a fake movie trailer for a new Dundee film called Dundee: The Son of a Legend Returns Home.
It featured many of Australia’s most famous exports including Chris Hemsworth, Margot Robbie, Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe.
The Very Excellent Mister Dundee will be released in Australian cinemas on April 20.
