‘Wolverine or Wipparine?’ Nova’s Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli strips off and goes shirtless as he reveals the bizarre side effect of hair medication

Nova’s Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli revealed the bizarre side effect of his hair medication on Wednesday.

The 40-year-old stripped off in his radio studio and went shirtless as he revealed his chest, back and arms had gotten a little hairier in recent weeks.

In an Instagram post on Fitzy and Wippa’s official page, they joked: ‘Wolverine or Wipparine?’

‘Wippa’s even hairier than usual after stepping up his hair medication,’ the post read.

In one hilarious video, his co-host Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald screamed and laughed as he noticed that Wippa’s back was hairy.

‘The shoulders! Woah… the triceps and it’s back on your back! Turn around, it’s on your back! Mate you never had hair on your back. What have you done?’ Fitzy said.

He added: ‘Is that too much mate? Have you gone too hard?’

Wippa joked: ‘In a few months, this turns into a giant fur ball and might make it’s way to my head.’

It remains unclear exactly why Wippa feels the need to take hair medication.

In May, he recently shared a flashback picture of himself in a camel suit from 2005, with the same full head of hair.

Last month, Wippa made headlines when he revealed that he tried to use the coronavirus pandemic as an excuse to get out of a parking fine.

Speaking on his radio show, he said he ‘panicked’ when being issued a fine in Sydney’s Rose Bay.

Wippa told his co-hosts: ‘Saturday morning I parked in a no standing zone just to go in to grab coffees.

‘I’ve got a wife with three kids at home, I’m doing the coffee run, I’m trying to make this as quick and easy as possible,’ he explained.

‘I pull up in the no standing, I get back there and the guys punching in the ticket into his little machine, he hasn’t printed it out yet and I panicked said, “Come on mate, Corona!”‘

His co-host Fitzy asked, ‘What! Were you alerting him that you had Corona?’

Wippa went on, ‘What I was trying to say is “hey mate, we’re doing it tough, you don’t have to give me a ticket now.”‘

Co-host Matt de Groot chimed in, ‘It’s undone when you say we’re doing it tough, please don’t put a parking fine on my Range Rover in Rose Bay.’

Wippa continued: ‘I’m saying as a team, as a society we need to work together at the moment because we’ve all been thrown into a situation we’ve never been in before’.

However, the excuse did not go over well with the inspector who slapped the radio star with a fine anyway.
