Amanda offered another glimmer of hope about her husband Nick Cordero’s condition on Monday.
The 38-year-old fitness trainer revealed in a text post shared to her Instagram Stories that Nick, 41, was ‘doing slightly better’ as he continues to recover from a new lung infection.
She also confirmed that he’s no longer positive for COVID-19 and his recent health crises have been complications from his six-week stay in the ICU at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles.

‘Nick is doing slightly better than yesterday,’ Amanda began.
‘He is still very sick and battling a lot. They turned him to a proning position today to open his airways. He has had this before and it helped a lot.
‘They also cleaned his lungs out again to help fight the infection,’ she continued.
‘He is and has been COVID negative now for weeks,’ she revealed.

‘What he is and has been dealing with is the fail out [sic] from he virus and from infections that arise from being in the ICU as long as he has,’ she said.
Amanda concluded the short update with a renewed call for prayers for her husband.
The post seemed to indicate a positive trend, as Amanda had sounded cautiously optimistic late Saturday night when she updated her followers on Nick’s condition.
She revealed that he had been slowly recovering after his health went ‘downhill’ days earlier as the result of a new lung infection.

Amanda looked less ebullient in her Insta Stories update than in previous videos, though her mood had markedly improved since delivering the news that her husband’s condition had worsened.
‘It’s been a tough week,’ she began. ‘Nick suffered from some new lung infections in his lungs earlier this week, and since then he’s been slowly recovering, which is great.’
‘Day by day, hour by hour, he’s getting better. So he is slowly getting back to where he was before this infection came about. And that’s good,’ she continued.
‘We’re just hoping he can come off some more medications and that his settings on the machines can come down.
‘It’s been a tough week’: ‘Nick suffered from some new lung infections in his lungs earlier this week, and since then he’s been slowly recovering, which is great,’ she said
On the mend: ‘Day by day, hour by hour, he’s getting better,’ she said, before admitting she was exhausted and urging her fans to keep their loved ones close
‘Right now, we’re just looking for slow, small, steady wins to keep him rested and recovering,’ she added.
She didn’t hold anything back when it came to her own mental state as her husband fought for his life in the hospital.
‘I’m exhausted, as you can tell. Physically and mentally and emotionally exhausted,’ she admitted. ‘This has been the craziest ride ever, but we’re still here, and we’re still fighting.’
Amanda concluded her short update with a call to her and Nick’s fans to keep their loved ones close as the coronavirus pandemic rages on.
‘These are times right now,’ she said. ‘If you have somebody going through it, hug your people. Don’t take a day for granted, guys.’

He’s had to have one of his legs amputated, his lungs have been severely damaged by the coronavirus and he suffered multiple mini-strokes, all of which might delay his recovery.
Nick, who was nominated for a Tony Award for his role in the 2014 in the musical Bullets Over Broadway, first went to the ER on March 30 with a COVID-19 diagnosis, and was subsequently put into a medically-induced coma and ventilator
