‘It was tough but she’s worth it’: New mum Danielle Armstrong details giving birth to overdue daughter Orla… and admits she’s ‘totally smitten and so in love with the newborn’
Danielle Armstrong has discussed her newborn daughter Orla.
The TOWIE star, 32, and her fiancé Tom Edney, welcomed their healthy 8Ibs 11oz daughter last Tuesday afternoon and shared the happy news via a sweet Instagram post the following morning, after which she divulged details.
Speaking to New! Magazine, she said: ‘She’s so beautiful. I’m so in love with my little girl, we are totally smitten. [The birth] was tough, but Orla was totally worth it.’

Danielle was very vocal about being overdue with the tot as she struggled with the last days of her pregnancy as she awaited the arrival – which she branded ‘tough’.
Despite the difficult birth she admitted she was ‘so in love’.
When announcing the news last week, Danielle posted adorable snaps of her new arrival and wrote: ‘My World Is Complete. Orla Mae Edney Born May 26th at 16:30pm, Weighing A Healthy 8Ibs11.
After revealing the joyous news, Danielle shared a short clip breastfeeding her newborn as she admitted she felt as though she had been ‘hit by a bus’ after labour.

Gesturing at her daughter, Danielle began: ‘She’s currently on the boob, Orla Mae, you kept us waiting!..
‘Not even going to talk about the labour, I’ll do that another day. But she’s here, that’s all that matters.’
She continued: ‘I am exhausted. I think all women that have children are superheroes – and midwives. I am exhausted. Oh my god, I literally feel like I’ve been hit by a bus.
‘But I’m so pleased she’s here, I feel like the happiest girl in the world’.

She took to Instagram on Monday evening to post a video of the many gifts she received and also admitted she ‘couldn’t believe’ it had been a week.
