Stranger Things executive producer Shawn Levy and his company 21 Laps Entertainment joined forces with Netflix to ‘refresh’ the series for a new 12-episode season.

The first six episodes will be released on July 1 with the second half coming at an unannounced date.

Similar to the other versions of the show, the new series will look into unsolved cases and unexplained experiences form all over the world.

Though the original show featured four cases per episode, the most recent reboot will only feature one case, using reenactments for a documentary format on the mysteries.
