Natalie Portman flies under the radar in a pair of sunglasses as she visits art gallery with her mother Shelley in Sydney

She’s been living in Sydney, Australia with her husband and family while filming the new Marvel film, Thor: Love and Thunder.

And Natalie Portman is well and truly settling into life in Sydney, having spent the weekend with her mother enjoying the city’s local art scene.

On Saturday, the 39-year-old was pictured with her mother Shelley, as they visited the Art Gallery of NSW together.

Stepping out: Natalie Portman, 39, was spotted enjoying a low-key outing with her mother Shelley on Saturday as they visited the Art Gallery of NSW in Sydney

Evading the prying eyes of the public, the famous twosome covered their faces with sunglasses.

Natalie arrived at the gallery in a white T-shirt and denim shorts, but was later seen leaving the building in a frilly cream-coloured jumper.

She showed off her natural complexion, appearing to go makeup free for the outing.

Natalie has gone largely unnoticed in Australia, and appears to have fit in easily with the laid-back locals in trendy areas like Byron Bay and Bondi Beach.

The actress and her director husband Benjamin Millepied, along with their children Aleph, nine, and Amalia, four, have been Down Under since November last year.

She’s also been spotted in the grandstands at several football events recently.

Last month, Natalie attended an NRL game in Sydney alongside fellow A-Listers Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky.
