But Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts proved they are still on good terms as they walked around Venice with their children, Kai, 12, and Sasha, 13, on Saturday.
The amicable exes, 53 and 52, wrapped up warm on their winter vacation in Italy, and made sure to protect themselves from the novel coronavirus with face masks.

Naomi cut a casual figure in khaki trousers, a black cardigan and a cream scarf.
She tucked her blonde tresses beneath a black beanie and she decided to go make-up free for the outing, as she held onto the lead of her new puppy, Izzy.
Liev kept a low profile in a navy jacket and black jogging bottoms. He also sported a maroon Amber Waves Farm cap and face covering as he was seen carrying a bag full of goodies.

Their eldest child Kai bundled up for the chilly January weather in a green winter jacket and Adidas trousers, with the iconic three white lines trailing down the side.
Their daughter was seen holding her father’s hand as she wore a black coat. She also injected a splash of colour with lilac jogging bottoms.
Naomi and Liev split in 2016 after 11 years together, however it is unclear if they ever officially got married.
The former couple have been spending time together amid the global coronavirus pandemic.

Liev has been based in Italy for a number of weeks, filming his new project Across the River And Into The Trees, based on the critically reviled Ernest Hemingway novel of the same name.
Over the New Year holiday, Naomi, Sasha and Kai joined him for some recreational time together, hitting the slopes in the Italian Alps in Cortina d’Ampezzo.
Since the end of their romance five years ago, Liev and Naomi have remained good friends and closely co-parent their children together.
The actress is currently dating fellow actor Billy Crudup, 52, while Liev has been seeing actress Taylor Neisen, 27.
