MTV has officially postponed their annual MTV Movie & TV Awards, due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
While no official air date was revealed before the cancellation, it was believed to have taken place later this month, according to Variety.
The cable network made the decision to postpone the event, rather than hold a ‘virtual’ ceremony, with the hope that it could still air later this year.

Last year’s MTV Movie & TV Awards were filmed June 15 at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, with the show airing June 17, hosted by Zachary Levi.
