Rachael Finch reveals her indulgent morning routine – including meditation, collagen coffee and an infrared light therapy session

She balances raising two young children with a growing health and wellness empire.

And on Wednesday, Rachael Finch revealed her morning routine and what she does before her kids wake up.

The former beauty queen, 31, told 9Honey that she is usually woken up by her three-year-old son, Dominic, between 6am and 7am.

Meditation, collagen coffee, smoothie, infrared light therapy: Rachael Finch, 31, revealed her morning routine before her children wake up

She said the first thing she does is wash her face with ice cold water followed by a 20-minute meditation.

Rachael follows this up with a glass of water with freshly squeezed lemon juice.

By that time, her six-year-old daughter, Violet, has usually woken up and she starts to get both her children ready.

Thirty minutes after her lemon water, Rachael has a black coffee blended with collagen powder, maca powder and medicinal mushroom, which makes the drink creamy and frothy without milk.

For breakfast, she usually prepares a smoothie consisting of various fruits, spinach, protein power, nut butter and almond milk.

If she has time, Rachael occasionally likes to sit in front of a Joovv light: an LED light therapy device that emits infrared lights.

‘This might sound a bit bizarre, but it’s not every morning,’ she clarified.

‘I do try and sit in front of that as often as possible, I’ll do it before I’ve got really full-on day with work.’

She previously said of the device: ‘Light therapy is becoming more popular and personally I’ve noticed a stack of benefits from applying it to my weekly regime.’

Light therapy, which is often used by professional athletes, helps to promote weight loss, muscle recovery and skin health.

Rachael shares her children with her husband, professional dancer Michael Miziner.

They married in 2013 after meeting on Dancing with the Stars three years earlier.
