Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury slammed for ditching facemasks while traveling to the Maldives

They were criticised for not wearing facemasks in Dubai, during their getaway to the UAE earlier this month.

But despite the backlash, while flying to the Maldives for their most recent festive break, Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury hooked their facemasks beneath their chins, and shamelessly showed off their antics in the influencer’s latest YouTube vlog, leaving viewers outraged.

In one of the video’s first clips, the Love Island couple, both 21, pull down their masks, while enjoying a 45 minute seaplane ride from Male airport to You & Me located in Raa atoll, northern Maldives.

Irresponsible! Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury, both 21, have been slammed for ditching their facemasks while traveling via seaplane to You & Me located in Raa atoll, in the Maldives

While Tommy appeared to not cover his nose and mouth for the duration of their seaplane ride, Molly-Mae purposefully uncovered her face to pose with her beau.

After pulling down her facemask to pout, the blonde beauty then kept it hooked beneath her chin and smiled into the camera while creating a heart-shape with her hand joined with Tommy’s.

According to high-end travel operators Kuoni, in the Maldives: ‘All tourists are required to wear face masks at the airport and during domestic travel (including on sea planes and speed boats).’

Fans were left unimpressed with the Love Island pair, with one viewer commenting: ‘Love y’all but please wear your masks above your nose during flights and interactions with others!!!!’

‘Pleaseeeee wear your mask properly all the time, like on the plane and when you had it on your chin.

‘Please just keep it up the whole time when with other people and outside with the workers, and especially with the new more contagious strain of covid,’ urged another follower.

‘PUT. YOUR. MASK. ON. PROPERLY.,’ demanded someone else, while another person fumed: ‘i love both of you so so much, but seriously with all these trips and you guys can’t even wear a mask properly????

‘I’s a f**king mask it’s not that hard. putting all these people at risk cuz u can’t wear it properly.’

One infuriated fan wrote: ‘Swear she has broken the rules though? I mean she’s shown herself not wearing a mask (or wearing one incorrectly)…

‘I think when you’re taking advantage of your privilege e.g. flying out on numerous holidays, you owe it to those less privileged around you to protect them.

‘They don’t have any choice but to be there working and realistically getting covid would have a much worse impact on them than Molly or Tommy.’

Someone else mused: ‘I’ll always support you but I find you being really out of touch at the minute.

‘Constant holidays, not wearing masks correctly, jetting off multiple times whilst the rest of the country won’t have been anywhere is so distant to the reality of the public.

‘Then complaining on Instagram about the new rules, Molly you’ve had 6 holidays this year. You gained a likeable following through how down to earth you were but now it’s just holidays, designer items and turning into every other influencer.’

Another viewer simply wrote: ‘this is so irresponsible there was no necessity at all in this travel.’

The Love Island contestants were branded ‘privileged’ by their followers for not wearing a mask or wearing them incorrectly while in public spaces such as a restaurant, plane and taxi while on the trip.

Some viewers of her Dubai vlog suggested they found the viewing ‘uncomfortable’ as the couple chose to flout coronavirus restrictions while enjoying their sun-soaked getaway.

The video began with Molly-Mae and Tommy on the plane to Dubai in their first class seats, as the influencer pulled her mask below her chin to talk to the camera.

The video shared an intimate insight into their luxurious trip, however it also showed fans that they had missed the mark with regards to following local rules.

Current restrictions in Dubai state that everyone must wear a face covering while in public spaces once out of your private residence.

Exceptions include being alone, during strenuous exercise and while eating or drinking indoors or outdoors.

During the video Molly-Mae and Tommy were also filmed without a mask while riding in a taxi, while exiting a restaurant and while inside an ice cream parlour.
