Model Elyse Knowles says she has no plans to marry her longtime boyfriend Josh Barker

They’ve been together for eight years and are about to welcome their first baby together, but Elyse Knowles admitted she’s not in any rush to marry Josh Barker.

In an interview with The Daily Telegraph’s Stellar Magazine on Friday, the 28-year-old model confessed marriage isn’t on her list of priorities. 

‘I’m not really fussed about [a wedding]. The baby is the biggest commitment we need,’ she told the publication.

‘We don’t even think about that anymore. I’m not worried about it. I would rather put that money into family and our life all together. We know we love each other.’ 

And Elyse said her relationship with the 31-year-old builder has only strengthened since they discovered they were expecting.

The couple announced they were expecting their first child together back in September. 

At the time, she shared a series of loved-up photos to Instagram of herself and Josh in front of Uluru with a love heart drawn on her bare stomach. 

‘And then there were 3 #babybarker,’ she captioned the post. 

In an interview with The Daily Telegraph in November, Elyse said she was embracing her pregnant figure. 

‘As I go through this new journey, I’m feeling very content in my body, which is nice. I listen to what my body needs,’ she said.

She’s been documenting her pregnancy on Instagram, regularly sharing photos of her growing bump.

The former Block star is now due any day, and told Stellar Magazine she was hoping to ‘take a couple of years’ off work to spend time with the baby.
