My Kitchen Rules’ ‘friendly pirate’ Ash Keillah is the latest Australian celebrity to bleach their hair while in coronavirus lockdown.

Known for his trademark mop and eye patch, the 35-year-old reality star showed off his new ice-blond do in a series of Instagram posts shared to his story.

The doting father, who welcomed his first child with fiancée Stacey Allen in March, couldn’t wipe the smile off his face as he revealed his new look.

‘She’s into it,’ he eagerly wrote alongside a loved-up selfie with Stacey, 27, who is seen planting a kiss on his cheek following his dramatic transformation.

Sharing a photo of the pair on her own Instagram, Stacey revealed the pair decided to swap hair colours on the way to their hair appointment.

Ash and Stacey appeared on last year’s season of the Channel Seven cooking show, and announced the birth of their daughter, Jaiya Ace Keillah on March 27.

The hipster couple aren’t the first Australian celebrities to go blond in recent weeks.

From cricketer Michael Clarke’s freshly dyed locks to House Husbands star Firass Dirani’s bleached buzz cuts, many male stars have taken a walk on the lighter side.

Michael, 39, debuted his blond mane last month when he was pictured heading back to his car after a day on his boat.

The fun hasn’t been limited to the men, however, with Martha Kalifatidis revealing her desire to go blonde – but opting for an orange look instead.
