Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles: Tracy Tutor shoots down rival David Parnes over stealing listing

Tracy Tutor ‘s***-talked’ her castmates James Harris and David Parnes and tried to steal a deal from them on Tuesday’s episode of Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles.

The real-estate duo had been contacted by a seller to represent his $1.7 million home in Pasadena, but they heard that rival broker Tracy, 44, had tried to steal the listing.

She’d apparently told the seller that David wouldn’t stop by his home for anything less than $10 million, and noted that he’d passed its sale on to Gus, his associate in Pasadena.

At an open house in La Jolla, California, David cornered Tracy, saying, ‘I received an email from the seller, about what you had been saying about me.’

Tracy said she’d sat down with the seller and his mother for an hour, and admitted to telling them, ‘With all due respect to Gus, I’m a West Side agent, and I’m sitting in front of you here right now—and I don’t think David is anywhere to be found.’

‘If it was a $10 million or $20 million house in Pasadena, I don’t think you would have sent Gus,’ she told David at the event, a party for the $25 million Razor House in La Jolla, California, represented by Josh Altman, 41, and Josh Flagg, 34.

‘I think you would have made an appointment with James, and the two of you would have found your butts sitting in the chair across from that man at the folding table that I was at.’

David said he wouldn’t turn business down, that’s why they were expanding into Pasadena.

‘In fairness, you’re not expanding into Pasadena,’ Tracy said. ‘That’s why you sent Gus. Let’s just call a spade a spade. You’re listing $40 million houses in Bel-Air. I took the time and I went there.’

‘So did I,’ David insisted, to which Tracy replied, ‘After I told him that you wouldn’t show up, or before?’

‘I love David,’ Tracy said in a confessional. ‘But at the end of the day, I didn’t say anything shady. I just spoke the truth.’

She denied telling the seller that David was ‘a complete unknown on the West Side,’ as he claimed, but agreed that she said he’d never post the home on his social media accounts.

‘Tracy was s***-talking about me, and that’s not something I would ever do to her,’ David told Altman, who asked why they were quarrelling.

‘If I can say one word kids, from Yoda, who has been in the real-estate business longer than all of you,’ offered Flagg. ‘There is nothing wrong with s***-talking someone else to get a listing. I mean, we talk s*** about each other all the time.’

‘There is one thing that you can never do though. That’s put it in writing.’

‘You can’t mess with Tracy,’ Altman noted privately. ‘She’s a badass b****. She will put David in his place so quickly that he’ll put his tail between his legs and run back to L.A. Not even L.A. He might make his way back to England.’

As the episode opened, the two Joshes were leading buyers through tours of the Razor House, an architecturally stunning property.

They’d only just won the commission, and sought to learn everything they could about the 10,240-square-foot place, even speaking with its designer, Wallace Cunningham.

They told buyers about the custom bar, blackout ceiling in the master bedroom, subterranean garage, infinity pool, retracting kitchen appliances and more.

‘I’m not saying this house is perfect for you, but this house is perfect for you,’ Altman told one prospective buyer, a tech tycoon named Michael.

To attract more clients, they threw a posh event for high-end realtors and bused them down from L.A., serving them wine and ahi tuna and hiring luxury cars to set a certain tone out front.

‘We’re here to make a deal,’ Altman told the realtors, who were wooed by its rooftop terrace, ocean views and secret hot tub.

Back in L.A., James, 35, and David had just been trying to score $3 million for a client’s renovated 1914 home, located in a ‘streetcar suburb’ of Los Angeles.

The seller had spent $2.6 million fixing up the three-bedroom property and getting approvals for historical tweaks, so they started high, charging $450 more per square foot than usual.

Buyers didn’t still seem interested at that price, and James urged the seller, Joey, to bring the price down to $2.4 million, which the man felt was ‘taking food off the table for my family.’

He reluctantly agreed to $2.495 million, then $2.35 million, and settled for $2.25 million.

‘James, you do realize how f***ed I am right now, right?’ he told the broker, who convinced him that sometimes you don’t make money on real-estate deals.

Meanwhile, Tracy was working on selling her own 11,000-square-foot home, and seeking a ‘fresh start’ after her recent divorce.

She’d paid more than $13 million for it back when she and her ex bought it in 2009, and wanted to sell it for nearly $24 million, with an escrow in 45 days.

Unable to trust herself during an emotional time, she handed the listing over to her own brokers, but admitted she would be on their case while they tried to sell it.
