Even a pandemic couldn’t keep Michelle Pfeiffer away from her new home on Tuesday as she visited the recently purchased property with husband David E. Kelley. 

The celebrated actress and her TV producer spouse paid a reported $22.5 million for the six bedroom Pacific Palisades residence on January 17th. 

It’s understood that the Mediterranean style home, which covers approximately 10,329-square-feet, had been extensively renovated by its previous owner before going on the market.

Michelle and David have since set about remodeling the property to their own tastes, but unexpected lockdown laws in the fight against the novel coronavirus COVID-19 have temporarily disrupted their plans. 

Paying a visit to the site, three-time Academy Award nominee Michelle, 61, wore a precautionary scarf across her face while inspecting the tarpaulin covered site. 

The actress looked preoccupied as she checked the progress made by builders before the pandemic that has so far claimed 177,496 lives forced work to a halt.

When Michelle and David finally move into their new home they will have prime views across the Riviera Golf Course on the 18th fairway, which hosts the annual Genesis Invitational tournament on the PGA Tour.

According to Real Deal, a previous listing describing it as having “some of the best ocean, golf course, and mountain views on the most coveted street in the Riviera.”

Michelle and David purchased their new home after selling another Pacific Palisades property for $9.1 million, reportedly to Houston Astros owner Jim Crane.

Weeks earlier the couple sold another home, a four-bedroom Spanish style property located 30 miles from San Francisco in Silicon Valley, for $22 million. 

A second 2,900 square-foot property owned by the couple, also in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood, was listed for $8.35 million in November. 

Michelle married producer David, her second husband, in 1993. The couple are parents to son John Henry, 25, and 27-year-old daughter Claudia Rose.
