Michael Lohan’s ex Kate receives a two-year ‘limited protective order’ against him in light of plea deal in his ongoing disorderly conduct saga

Michael Lohan and his estranged wife Kate Major have reached an arrangement in the ongoing divorce saga.

This comes after Lohan, 59 was arrested for allegedly choking Kate, 37, after she was taken into custody for a DUI when her husband called the cops on her last month.

On Tuesday, TMZ reported that Michael, in lieu of jail time or probation, has reached a plea deal requiring him to enter a ‘limited protective order’ with respect to Kate — meaning he can be in contact with her, but ‘must not threaten, harass or abuse her’ in any way.

In exchange, the father of Lindsay Lohan pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct Tuesday in a Suffolk County Court, but the choking charge against him has been dropped.

The protective order will last two years, and additionally, Lohan has to pay a fine of an undisclosed sum. 

As previously reported, Michael claimed that the assault and choking accusations were fabricated by his wife, in retaliation for the fact that he called the police on her, leading to her arrest for driving under the influence on February 9th.

Kate is due back in court next month in connection with that charge.

Late last month, it was reported by Page Six that Major holed up with Michael’s ex-wife and mother to Lindsay, Dina Lohan at her Long Island home following the assault charges.

The outlet reported that Dina told them she is ‘being a mother’ and protecting Kate, adding: ‘I’ve been through it all before.’

Michael was arrested on February 10th after Kate claimed he choked her at their Long Island home when she confronted him about his internet browsing history.

‘I did not touch her, I wasn’t near her, this is just a lie,’ Michael told DailyMail.com just after he was released from custody on Tuesday February 11 in Southampton, New York.

He said he was driving Sunday February 9th in Southampton and passed Major on the road, they saw each other and then he pulled into a gas station next to her.

‘I pulled in next to her and she was absolutely whacked out of her mind drunk,’ he said. ‘Sitting next to her was a bottle of vodka….. So I got on the phone and called the police. The police tracked her down and arrested her.’

Lohan said he was blindsided when cops came to arrest him the next day as he was out shopping with the two young sons that he shares with Major — Landon Major, seven, and Logan Michael, five.

‘This is all in retaliation to me getting her arrested for DWI. That’s all it is,’ he claimed.
