Matt James the new Bachelor goes boating in Florida with Tyler Cameron and female pal

He has been named the new Bachelor.

And Matt James was seen palling around in Florida this Friday with another franchise star and his close friend, Bachelorette hunk Tyler Cameron.

Matt, 28, and Tyler, 27, were accompanied by a blonde female pal as they relaxed on the grass by the sea and then took a boating trip.

For his latest outing Matt looked dashing as ever, pulling on a color-block hoodie and a pair of high cut checked blue swim trunks.

The dashing reality star warded off the Florida rays with a camouflage hat as well as a gleaming pair of blue sunglasses.

Meanwhile Tyler showed off his musclebound physique in a clinging white tee that emphasized his chiseled arms.

The sizzling sensation could be spotted at one point lifting up his shirt, allowing for a brief glimpse of his sculpted abs.

He also wore a camouflage hat and a pair of blue swim trunks for his pleasant day on the boat, which was docked in Jupiter, Florida on the Atlantic coast.

Tyler could be spotted at the steering wheel of the motorboat as Matt and their gal pal sat basking in the sun nearby.

Their outing came the day Good Morning America finally revealed that Matt had been selected to be the first black Bachelor.

Tyler was on hand when Matt filmed his interview for Good Morning America upon announcement of the big news.

Swinging by his social media, Tyler playfully revealed that although Matt was snappily dressed above the waist for the TV cameras, he had no trousers on.

That day Tyler fired up his Insta Stories to show himself shirtless and sweaty as he walked breathlessly beside his pal.

‘When something big happens, I’d probably wanna celebrate and drink a beer or something – this man Matt had me running stadium steps,’ said Tyler.

‘You are out of your mind, congrats, brother,’ said Tyler warmly as Matt chuckled beside him and said: ‘Thank you, thank you.’ 

Matt was initially cast for the upcoming 16th season of The Bachelorette where he vied apparently unsuccessfully for Clare Crawley’s hand in marriage.

Tyler is also an alumnus of the Bachelorette franchise, having appeared on the 15th season last year starring Hannah Brown in the title role. 

Matt made history for the Bachelor franchise, which previously has only had one black Bachelorette – Rachel Lindsay on season 13.

Rachel responded to Matt’s hiring by telling Good Morning America that she wanted more ‘changes made’ in the show’s approach to diversity.

‘I want producers of color. I’d like for them to cast leads that are interested in dating outside of their race that aren’t just getting their first-time experience – for the first time – on national TV,’ Rachel said on the show.

She argued that an appropriate move was ‘Not putting a band-aid over the situation and just saying: “Here, we’re going to put this here. Are you happy now?”‘

After his stint on the Bachelorette, Tyler went on to have a relationship with Gigi Hadid, even accompanying her to her grandmother’s Rotterdam funeral.

However they broke up last autumn and Gigi is back with her on-off beau Zayn Malik, whose child she is now expecting.

Tyler has had to repeatedly publicly deny a swirl of rumors that he is actually the father of his supermodel ex-girlfriend’s baby.

Near the start of the coronavirus lockdowns Tyler went into self-isolation in Florida with a ‘quarantine crew’ of pals including Hannah.

Hannah found herself in a massive scandal last month when she said the n-word on Instagram Live while rapping along to the Da Baby and Roddy Rich song Rockstar.
