He admitted that his KOI Dessert Bar was struggling during his time on MasterChef Australia: Back To Win.

But Reynold Poernomo ensured not to let another potential opportunity go to waste, as he announced his plans to launch his own cooking series.

The ‘dessert king’, 26, revealed the news on his Instagram on Wednesday, as he shared two exciting behind-the-scenes snap of him filming for the new venture. 

‘Got two episodes under way!’ MasterChef’s Reynold Poernomo ensured not to let another potential opportunity go to waste, as he announced his plans to launch his own cooking series

Reynold looked in his element as he was seen preparing some sweet treats while cameras rolled. 

He added in the caption: ‘Almost there, sort of… Super excited, got two episodes under way to launch my Youtube mini series!

‘I’ll show you some insights from creating my Moss 4.0 to my Potato Mochi Donuts. For now here are some behind the scenes.’  

Reynold was eliminated in third place from MasterChef after an emotional pressure test.

When presenting his candy apple dessert to the judges, Reynold admitted that his KOI Dessert Bar was struggling.

‘Like, we do have Koi. People think it’s successful. And it is. It’s great. I guess there were moments where we took the success for granted,’ he said, breaking down.

‘I’m not going to go too into details and… now there’s a lot of things that we’re trying to keep our head up high, trying to maintain our image.

‘People see it as, like, the products are so great. But why is it that we’re still struggling?’

‘So that’s the saddest part about this business. It’s, like, hospitality industry has never been easy. I didn’t come on here for the fame or anything like that.

 ‘I came on here because I love to cook. The only thing I’m good at’ he added.
