MasterChef’s Callum Hann reveals the one thing that he will miss about the competition

He was eliminated from the Channel Ten cooking show on Tuesday night’s episode. 

And MasterChef Australia’s Callum Hann has revealed that there is already something that he is missing about the competition… ‘eating like a king.’ 

The 31-year-old reality star has revealed that once the camera’s stopped rolling, he would get to eat all the amazing food that his fellow contestants cooked in their spare time. 

‘We were all living in the same apartment building and you’d be chilling on the couch and you’d get a knock on the door and it’s Poh (Ling Yeow) with her creme brulee and she wants you to try it,’ Callum told Perth Now. 

‘Or half an hour later, Laura comes up and she’s made this beautiful olive and rosemary focaccia and she wants you to take a bite.’ 

He continued: ‘That sort of stuff happened all the time … we just ate like kings. What some people would dream of was just everyday life for a couple of months.’ 

While Callum is disappointed to be eliminated he revealed that all the contestants became ‘great mates’ and he will cherish his time on the show. 

Callum’s elimination leaves Laura Sharrad, Emelia Jackson and Reynold Poernomo to fight it out to be crowned the MasterChef winner. 

However, many were sad to see him go including one of the show’s judges, Mellissa Leong. 

The 38-year-old judge shared a tribute to Callum on Instagram after his elimination saying it was a ‘career highlight’ for her to see him in the kitchen.

‘As we get to the end of this season, we’re splitting hairs and degrees of perfection, and while it’s time for you to go @callums_kitchen, we are all the better for your intelligence, strategic cleverness, empathy and heart,’ she said. 

 ‘Thank you for showing the world that there is triumph in being conscientious: you are the ultimate good guy, and it has been a career highlight being able to see you in action. Here’s to you.’
