MasterChef spoiler as the ‘final six contestants’ leaks on Instagram

MasterChef SPOILER ALERT: The final six contestants are leaked on Instagram – despite there still being 18 cooks left in the competition

The MasterChef finale is still months away and 18 cooks remain in the competition. 

But the final six contestants from the Back To Win season have seemingly been leaked thanks to a string of careless social media posts. 

In the last weekend of April, the six rumoured finalists all shared footage of themselves isolating together in Melbourne, where MasterChef is being filmed. 

Oops! An Instagram spoiler has hinted Poh Ling Yeow (pictured), Brendan Pang, Reynold Poernomo, Reece Hignell, Laura Sharrad and Emelia Jackson are ‘the final six’ on MasterChef

They fact they are staying together all but confirms they are still in the competition as it heads into its final stages.

The final six contestants appear to be:  Poh Ling Yeow, Reynold Poernomo, Brendan Pang, Reece Hignell, Laura Sharrad and Emelia Jackson. 

On April 24, Reynold, Laura and Emelia all shared pictures of themselves standing  around the same outdoor barbecue.

If they had left the competition, Reynold would have been in Sydney, Laura would have been in Adelaide, and Emelia would have been with her family in Melbourne.

That same night, Brendan enjoyed a meal with Reece in his Melbourne hotel room.

Had Brendan left the competition by this stage, he would have been back in Perth. Likewise, Reece would have returned to Newcastle.

Meanwhile, Laura shared a picture of Poh making a cake inside her room on April 25. Moments later, Emelia uploaded a photo of herself eating a slice of Poh’s cake.

The cake pictures prove the three women were also still in Melbourne at the time, and had chosen to spend the weekend isolating together.

Khanh Ong was posting content with some of ‘the final six’ up until late-April, suggesting he also progresses quite far in the competition.  

Although the list of the ‘final six’ is not confirmed, Poh revealed on April 1 the show was ‘halfway through’ production and is now believed to be near the end. 

Her schedule slip-up confirms there would only be around six contestants still in the competition by the end of April, when these accidental spoilers were shared.  

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel 10 for comment.
