MasterChef SPOILER: Fan favourite Poh Ling Yeow is spotted shopping in Melbourne where hit cooking show is being filmed… proving Adelaide-based chef is still in the competition

MasterChef favourite Poh Ling Yeow has inadvertently confirmed she’s still in the competition.

The 47-year-old MasterChef: Back to Win star was spotted shopping for groceries in Melbourne last week, which is where the hit cooking series is currently being filmed.

Poh, who is normally based in Adelaide, carried what appeared to be a bunch of spring onions as she walked through the streets.

Her outing comes after weeks of speculation the fan favourite is set to appear in the show’s final three.

Also expected to make it into the show’s finale are fellow contestants Reynold Poernomo and Laura Sharrad.    

Poh stepped out in a pair of khaki green cargo pants, which she paired with a navy blue and white knit sweater over a grey T-shirt.

She rounded out her eclectic ensemble with a pair of black Birkenstock sandals, and she accessorised with a magenta-coloured scarf wrapped around her neck.

A calico tote bag hung off one of her shoulders, and she wore a safety mask as she stepped out amid the coronavirus pandemic. 

Poh is expected to make it to the end, with 13 contestants currently still left in the competition.

Just last week, SportsBet had Reynold to win at 1.50, followed by Laura at 3.50 and Poh at 7.00.   

Similarly, PointsBet had Reynold at 1.18, Laura at 3.50 and then Poh at 5.50, while TAB have Reynold at lower odds of 1.10, and then Poh at 6.00 and Laura at 7.00. 

Poh revealed they were ‘halfway through’ filming on April 1 with around 12 stars left, as bosses battled to keep going amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Daily Mail Australia exposed the apparent final six contestants earlier this month.   

Poh, Reynold, Laura, Brendan Pang, Reece Hignell and Emelia Jackson appeared to accidentally reveal they were finalists with careless social media posts.  

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Network Ten for comment.
