Married At First Sight’s Michael Goonan says he ‘changed’ after his cheating scandal… and hints that ‘wife’ Stacey Hampton was unfaithful
Stacey Hampton was accused of cheating on her ‘husband’, Michael Goonan, on Sunday’s episode of Married At First Sight.
And on Monday, Michael hinted that this allegation was actually true.
Speaking on Nova 100’s Chrissie, Sam and Browny, the 28-year-old businessman was asked where it went wrong with Stacey.

‘There was a very crucial little hint that was said last night and that’s the little clue!’ said Michael.
He was referring to an accusation by Vanessa Romito, who said Stacey had ‘hooked up’ with someone other than Michael.
Michael said it would be satisfying to see Stacey held to account for being unfaithful, after he was pilloried by the cast for cheating with Hayley Vernon early in the season.

‘Imagine if that [Stacey cheating] was true,’ he said.
‘Imagine a guy that’s literally getting been torn apart every single week for a kissing allegation, changing this whole life, running around and jumping over hoops for this girl… I’ve changed everything, I’ve literally become a saint you know.’
Michael allegedly cheated on Stacey by kissing Hayley during a production break in late September – but he insists he ‘can’t remember’ what happened.
Vanessa said on Sunday’s episode that she had video proof Michael kissed Hayley.

However, it was revealed at girls’ night that she’d actually lied about having evidence in order to trick Michael into confessing.
Michael slammed Vanessa for lying about the video, saying it was a ‘bad thing to do’.
‘The minute they found out “Michael is a bit foggy about that night” or he can’t remember everything, all of a sudden all the stories come out,’ he told Nova 100.
‘Why do liars lie? Because that’s what they do! So, [Vanessa] is obviously a liar.’
