Married At First Sight’s Jules Robinson has slammed rumours her marriage to husband Cameron Marchant is a sham. 

Speaking to New Idea magazine on Monday, the 37-year-old socialite blasted the allegations as false, ridiculous and ‘just nasty’. 

‘Why would we get married just for publicity? It’s so ridiculous!’

The couple were married during a televised ceremony that aired on A Current Affair last September.

For many viewers, the special felt more like an advertisement for wedding services, with a number of brands showcased throughout the hour.

A number of viewers took to Twitter hit out at what appeared to be product placement on the show.

‘Seems like an advertisement for wedding services,’ one viewer wrote.

At the time, several MAFS cast-members accused Jules of being overly focussed on publicity. 

Melissa Lucarelli, who was controversially dropped by Jules as a bridesmaid days before the wedding, raged to NW magazine: ‘Now Cam and Jules are making money, she doesn’t need me anymore and she also doesn’t want me to get any publicity.’

Tamara Joy also hit out in a video shared to Instagram, claiming that Jules had used Melissa ‘as a pawn’ to promote her televised nuptials. 

Last month, former MAFS groom Nasser Sultan sensationally claimed to New Idea magazine that Jules and Cam’s relationship is fake.   

‘They will stay friends, but the relationship is fake,’ he claimed.  

‘Let’s not forget they are under contract with Channel Nine and were paid $70,000 for the farce!’ he said of their televised nuptials.
