The shocking slur everyone missed on Married At First Sight: Jonethen calls cheating groom Michael the C-word at the dinner table… and it very nearly made it to air uncensored

Married At First Sight’s dinner party descended into chaos on Wednesday.

But as the cheating scandal between Hayley Vernon and Michael Goonan unfolded, there was one eyebrow-raising moment that many viewers missed.

Jonethen Musulin, who was watching the drama from a distance, took things to another level by gesturing at Michael and saying: ‘I don’t trust that c**t.’

However, it’s believed that producers only caught the swear word at the last minute, as a version of the episode released to the media included the word uncensored

It’s not the first time the C-word has been thrown about during a volatile scene on the show.

Last year, participant Bronson Norrish famously called his ‘wife’ Ines Basic a ‘c**t’ during a fiery commitment ceremony blowup.

He was immediately reprimanded for his bad language by relationship expert Mel Schilling.

However, this sparked a viewer backlash because Mel only lectured Bronson over his use of the C-word and failed to also address Ines’s ‘abusive’ behaviour.

A petition demanding Mel be sacked later attracted 70,000 signatures.

Meanwhile, during Wednesday night’s dinner party, Michael refused to be held accountable for what happened because he was ‘too drunk to remember’.

He acknowledged that he was acting ‘stupid’ and flirting with Hayley, but insisted he had no recollection of kissing her.

Hayley, who prides herself on being honest regardless of the consequences, told the group they had in fact kissed.

Meanwhile, Stacey took her husband’s side in the scandal and accused Hayley of ‘taking advantage’ of Michael while he was drunk.

Married At First Sight continues Wednesday at 7.30pm on Channel Nine.
