Married At First Sight’s Elizabeth Sobinoff slams ‘boring’ new cast

‘They’re boring!’ Married At First Sight’s Elizabeth Sobinoff slams new cast for ‘holding back’ at dinner party and for not bringing enough drama this season

She was one of the breakout stars of Married At First Sight’s explosive sixth season last year.

And now that Elizabeth Sobinoff is back for season seven, she’s holding nothing back when it comes to assessing this year’s cast.

While meeting the new couples for the first time at Wednesday’s dinner party, the 28-year-old told producers that they were ‘boring’ and playing it safe.

‘This is really different because everyone is really quiet,’ she observed.

‘The ones that were hectic have left,’ Aleksandra Markovic explained to her, referring to ousted participants like David Cannon, Hayley Vernon, and Amanda Micallef.

‘They’re boring,’ she complained to producers. ‘It’s just, crickets.’

Elizabeth went on to explain that she felt like the current cast members were holding things back to avoid getting into drama.

‘I can tell, going off my gut vibe, that there’s so something going on,’ she told producers.

‘I feel like they don’t want to bring up anything, they’re holding back,’ she added.

Once it was time for the dinner party portion of the night, Elizabeth decided to stir the pot to get some of the issues out in the open.

She started by getting the table to discuss Michael Goonan’s cheating scandal, before reigniting the drama between Mishel Karen and Steve Burley.

Elizabeth isn’t the only one calling this year’s season of MAFS boring, with many loyal viewers taking to social media to complain that the series has jumped the shark.

‘This years MAFS is so boring…’ tweeted one fan.

‘Last year we had trashy Jess and Dan, rubbish Ines and Sam, Kmart Kardashian Martha and her no balls husband, Susie the bully and Cyclone Cyrell… and two couples are still together now!’

‘Can we just dump this whole cast and start the season again?’ wrote another.

‘This lot has managed the difficult combination of complete a***holes and incredibly boring.’
