Married At First Sight’s Elizabeth Sobinoff says cast aren’t boring

‘They did the best they can!’ Married At First Sight’s Elizabeth Sobinoff doubles down on her remarks about the ‘boring’ cast – after slamming them for ‘holding back’ this season

It appears Married At First Sight’s ‘repeat’ bride Elizabeth ‘Lizzie’ Sobinoff wants to get a few things off her chest, ahead of Sunday’s highly anticipated finale episode.

And on Saturday, the 28-year-old shared a video to Instagram of her behaviour at a past dinner party, where she accused her co-stars of being ‘boring’.

In the caption, the ‘wife’ of ex-footy player Seb Guilhaus, 30, doubled down on her remarks, insisting that her peers simply did ‘the best they can’.

‘Okay, sometimes I can be a little s**t,’ Lizzie began.

‘From second chances, dinner parties and commitment ceremonies, my journey, my story with MAFS is coming to an end. Thank you to everyone who has followed me through.’

The jewellery store manager-turned-influencer went on to explain her previous remark about her co-stars being ‘boring’.

‘I also just want to say, these people were not boring, even though I may not agree with some of their actions in which I’m positive they feel the same way about me.

‘I just want to say in my eyes they all did the best they can, and navigated this whole journey the best way they could,’ she concluded.

Lizzie’s post was in reference to an episode aired last month, where the ‘repeat’ bride met the couples for the first time at a dinner party.

In a piece to camera, Lizzie, who also starred on the 2019 season, told producers her co-stars were ‘boring’ and playing it safe.

‘This is really different because everyone is really quiet,’ she observed.

‘The ones that were hectic have left,’ Aleksandra Markovic explained to her, referring to ousted participants like David Cannon, Hayley Vernon, and Amanda Micallef.

‘They’re boring,’ she complained to producers. ‘It’s just, crickets.’

Lizzie went on to explain that she felt like the cast were holding things back to avoid getting into drama.

‘I can tell, going off my gut vibe, that there’s so something going on,’ she told producers.

‘I feel like they don’t want to bring up anything, they’re holding back,’ Lizzie added.

Married At First Sight’s grand finale episode airs Sunday at 7pm on Nine.
