Cathy said she had been affected by the government’s shutdown of beauty salons in a bid to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

‘I won’t be taking any makeup bookings until the regulations have been lifted about this whole COVID-19 outbreak,’ she explained.

‘Obviously because of the social distancing and doing people’s makeup, I’m quite close to you, I’m in your space.

‘So I think it’s best that we ride this wave out, and until things go back to normal, that’s when I’ll start to take makeup bookings again.’

While she admitted it had been disappointing being forced to cease her business, she was confident things would eventually return to normal.

‘I’m really gutted that I have had to decline so many people’s requests, but I think if we all do what we’re supposed to do and stay at home and distance ourselves, then this will be over,’ she added.

‘If we just stick to the rules, I’m sure that this isolation period and this lockdown period will be over and done with sooner, and that way we can get back to our normal lives.’

Cathy said she was looking forward to being able to go out again in the near future, and said it would be a happy moment.

‘We can rejoice and go out, go out for dinner, drinks, parties, barbecues, all that jazz,’ she continued, adding that she’ll be ‘so excited’ to get back to work.

She laughed: ‘You can hit me up, “Cath, I need you to do my makeup!” “F**k yeah, b***h! I’ll be coming over right now!” Just like that, exactly like that.’
