Married At First Sight takes a minor tumble in ratings as it records its lowest ever viewership

Married At First Sight delivers its lowest ratings so far this season… so have viewers finally had enough of the drama?

Married At First Sight has been a ratings winner for Channel Nine, often reaching more than a million viewers (five-city metro) per episode since its premiere.

But the social experiment appears to have lost some its appeal.

MAFS recorded its lowest viewership of the season on Tuesday, drawing a metro audience of 950,000.

Despite the slight ratings dip, MAFS was still the most-watched entertainment program in the 7:30pm time slot.

In comparison, Channel 10’s Australian Survivor: All Stars was watched by 611,000 people in the five capital cities.

Meanwhile, Seven’s My Kitchen Rules: The Rivals trailed behind with just 490,000 metro viewers.

The competitive cooking show was even eclipsed by ABC’s 7.30, which recorded a metro audience of 600,000.

Fortunately, MAFS was able to recover from its audience lull on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, 1,047,000 people in the major cities tuned in for the explosive dinner party that saw Aleks Markovic dump Ivan Sarakula.
