According to Instagram Money Calculator, Cathy can make up to $675 per post if brands are willing to pay her for sponsored content and endorsements.

She could also potentially line up ‘multi-post deals’ in which she’d earn thousands to promote the same product over a period of time.

As of Monday, Cathy has an engagement rate of 5.38 per cent. Brands use this statistic, as well as follower count, to calculate how much to pay for advertising.

Although Cathy is yet to share a sponsored post to her own profile, several companies she has worked with lately have started tagging her in ads.

Unlike her co-stars, Cathy already had a social media presence before MAFS.

She had several thousand Instagram followers and YouTube subscribers before the premiere in February – but has denied using the show to boost her profile.

Cathy, who has a degree in performing arts, has also denied being a paid actor ‘planted’ by producers.

Last week, it was revealed that most of this year’s MAFS stars may be forced to return to their day jobs, as their dreams of becoming Instagram influencers look uncertain.

Daily Mail Australia understands that some of the brides and grooms are ‘worried’ about their low follower counts and lack of interest from brands.

Statistics show last year’s cast had tens of thousands more followers by this stage in the experiment, proving that viewers are no longer as invested in the franchise as they once were.
