In the episode, Cathy argued that she ‘tried to engage’ with Josh during their stay in Newcastle, but he just felt she ‘didn’t want to be there’.

As they sat on the sofa, Cathy said to Josh: ‘You always address issues within our relationship, which I’m unaware of, in a public space. First time with your mum, then at the dinner party and then at the commitment ceremony last week.

‘It’s not fair and like you’re trying to embarrass me. I went into the last commitment ceremony feeling light and positive, then you said there were issues, that really hurt.’

Cathy continued: ‘I was wondering why he does this to me? I then had the revelation that after all of this time it still feels like he doesn’t know me. It hurts that you think I didn’t try.’

In response, Josh said: ‘I still do care about Cathy a lot. I’m sorry for hurting you, it was never my intention. I came here to find love. I know I have many flaws, but I’ve been through so much with you.

‘Our wedding was one of the funnest days I’ve ever had – she made me feel so warm.’

The couple later admitted to their intense sexual chemistry.
