Married At First Sight: Cathy Evans comforted by producers after quitting filming

Married At First Sight EXCLUSIVE: The moment Cathy Evans QUITS filming and is comforted by producers amid split from ‘husband’ Josh Pihlak

Married At First Sight’s Cathy Evans was comforted by two producers as she fled filming for an upcoming girls’ night during production for the show last year.

The 26-year-old was photographed looking strained outside of a pub in Glebe, Sydney on November 26, as all of the brides reunited to film a party inside.

On Tuesday, Cathy’s ‘husband’ Josh Pihlak confirmed the pair break-up in a future episode, with the new pictures proving the drama doesn’t stop when they split.

In Daily Mail Australia’s pictures, the 26-year-old looked emotional as she was followed outside of the filming location by two female members of production.

The women spent several minutes talking outside, with a producer then going back into the pub and retrieving Cathy’s jacket for her as she shivered on the street.

Cathy eventually returned inside with a slight smile on her face after a tense chat.

With Cathy’s ‘marriage’ assumed to have been over by this point of production, she looked ready to wrap filming for good and return to her regular everyday life.

Her bubbly personality was no longer apparent as she looked emotional.

She presumably had high hopes for the evening before fleeing, looking red hot and showcasing her curves in a stunning jumpsuit.

Earlier this week, Cathy’s ‘husband’ Josh faced a viewer backlash when he appeared to side with his mother, Mandy Manning, during a tense confrontation with her.

Cathy accused her ‘husband’ of throwing her under the bus the moment they sat down for lunch, despite him reassuring her beforehand that he would support her.

He later breached his contract by sharing a lengthy video to Instagram confirming the couple soon split and raging against the producers.

In the video, he claimed his family lunch during homestays had been selectively edited to make him and his mother, Mandy Manning, look like villains

Josh began his rant on Instagram by revealing that MAFS participants ‘aren’t meant to be using their social media’ but that ‘sometimes it’s better to speak up’.

After confirming his ‘unfortunate’ split from Cathy, which is yet to air on TV, he said: ‘I knew going into this that it’d be highly edited, but watching [Monday’s episode], what transpired and what actually happened was an absolute joke.

‘The reason I’m speaking up is because it absolutely takes a toll when your mum, yourself and even your little brother are receiving death threats. It isn’t cool.

‘I’ve always put my hand up when I’ve done something wrong. I wasn’t perfect in the experiment, no. But what transpired at that lunch is an absolute crock of s**t.’
