‘They loved it and just at the end of the show, my son looked at me and had this big smile on his face,’ Mark told Now To Love on Tuesday.

‘The most beautiful thing my wife told me this morning was when he went to sleep he goes: “I’ve got the coolest dad in the world!”

‘I’ve never heard anything more beautiful. It brought a tear to my eye. Just for that reason alone it was worth it,’ he added.

‘No way! I would need all the computer technology in the world and maybe I would come out sounding decent if the technology was good enough,’ he said.

Mark was eliminated on Monday night and admitted he was upset to be out so early, seeing as he has a competitive streak.

‘I was bummed. I’m going to be honest, I am competitive,’ he told host Osher Günsberg.

‘I mean…who doesn’t love to sing? I love music. It was an incredible adventure and it was, you know, good to do something where you’re uncomfortable,’ he said.

‘I definitely was uncomfortable in this mask, but it was an absolute pleasure and it was fun. I had some fun,’ he added.
