Hurd, 33, also marked his wife’s birthday with an Instagram post, sharing a closeup of Morris snuggling with their newborn.

’30 looks beautiful on you, MM,’ the singer and songwriter wrote. ‘Happy Birthday from me and your almost 3 week old birthday present. We are so proud to be yours!’

On Easter Sunday, Morris shared a cute picture of baby Hayes wearing bunny ears and called him ‘my lil Easter egg.’

A few days after her son’s birth, the Hero and Girl hitmaker revealed that his arrival had not gone quite as planned.

’30 hours of labor ended with an emergency c-section,’ she shared. ‘Not what we planned but I learned pretty quickly that night that having a plan for bringing a human into the world is a fool’s errand.’

She went on: ‘All that mattered was that he got here safely. Having him in the middle of a global health crisis was also not in the baby prep books, but here we are.’

Morris also took the time to share her heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and medical professionals who had helped her through her labor and delivery.

‘They risked their health every day to make sure ours was okay. I can’t think of anything more selfless than that,’ she wrote in her social media post.

‘Ultimately, I can’t thank every single mother enough for going through what you’ve gone through because I had NO idea how hard it could be, and I’m a measly 4 days in.’

She concluded: ‘The world is changing before our eyes and so am I. That’s been a peaceful thing to cling to during these uncertain times. Thinking of you all.’

Morris and Hurd started dating in late 2015 and they married in Nashville on March 24, 2018.

They announced they were expecting their first child together back in October.
