MAFS EXCLUSIVE: Natasha Spencer’s secret makeup tips for being camera-ready for up to ’18 HOURS’

Married At First Sight stars have previously claimed they had to be ‘camera-ready’ for up to 18 hours a day while filming Nine’s controversial experiment.

And this season’s bride Natasha Spencer has revealed the two products she swore by to maintain her glam appearance and flawless makeup on-screen.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Natasha claimed all the brides were responsible for their own hair and makeup on the show, but she was fortunate to know some beauty tricks from her past experience in makeup artistry.

Married At First Sight EXCLUSIVE: Natasha Spencer (above) has revealed her two go-to products that kept her makeup flawless while on camera for up to ’18 HOURS’ on Nine show

‘We did all our own hair and makeup, except for our weddings, so you have to do it yourself,’ she explained.

‘My hot tip is getting Huda Beauty’s easy-bake face powder. You put it on your face extra thick after you put your foundation on – it’s called baking. You leave it, it sets as it heats, and it encourages the foundation to stay on longer.

For her second ‘bible product’, she said she couldn’t go past Urban Decay’s all-nighter long lasting makeup setting spray.

Both products, which come to less than $110, were apparently the saving grace to keeping her makeup looking fresh up to 18 hours after the first application.

‘It was such long days… sometimes you start getting ready at 10am and you’d leave the commitment ceremonies or dinner parties at like, 2am, 3am or 4am!’ she said.

In 2019, former contestant Tracey Jewel claimed that on season five of Married At First Sight stars filmed for ’17 hours a day’ during the height of the drama.

In an interview with 2Day FM Breakfast with Grant, Ed & Ash, she said that participants would film for up to 17 hours a day, five days a week, leaving them exhausted and vulnerable.

‘You’d film from 10 or 11 in the morning right up to two or three in the morning. It’s a massive day so you can imagine doing that minimum five times a week,’ she explained.

Season two bride Simone Lee Brennan previously mirrored Tracey’s claims during a chat on Mamamia’s The Recap podcast in 2017.

‘The wedding was filmed from 7am until 4am the following day… they make you film it over and over again,’ Simone claimed.

While in isolation amid coronavirus lockdowns, Natasha intends to share her makeup and beauty secrets on her new YouTube channel.

‘I’ve started doing beauty tips for at-home, and I’ve already released a video on at-home facials and skincare,’ Natasha said.

Not only will she focus on beauty and makeup, but she said she will also do no nail and hair tutorials, as well promoting things like meditation and self-care practices.

‘I think self-care is so important, not only for our looks but for our mental health as well,’ she added.
